One Soul, Many Bodies by Brian Weiss M. D.
An incredible book about past lives and healings using your Holy Spirit.
After I read the book my friend Dawn loaned to me I prayed that all of my past deeds that may be bringing me bad karma be forgiven by those I may have hurt in the past, here or in past lifetimes. I also prayed that if I have ever been hurt by anyone now or in a past lifetime, that God bless them and I asked Him to help me forgive all those that have hurt me.
Crazy things started happening. I started seeing ALL of my flaws in a way I had never seen them before. A loving God is helping me internally heal from many past pains, sorrows, and wrongs I have committed and others have committed against me.
An interesting thing about healing: The more you forgive others and release the pain, the more healing you experience and the stress begins to leave your face and body and of course, your Holy Spirit. I have seen many clients where the stress lines marked upon their faces will begin to disappear. It is shocking the effect it has upon the body and the human spirit. I have seen clients look 10-15 years younger simply by letting go of all that tormented and oppressed them. GET THIS BOOK IMMEDIATELY FOR YOUR HEALING!
The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene
This fascinating book is about historical events and Men of Power and how they handled it, good or bad, and at the end of each chapter, there is a synopsis explaining how they could have had a “win, win situation” instead of facing defeat after their ego was involved in defeating them.
Years ago Michael Douglas was in the movie Wall Street and the book “The Art of War” was mentioned as the ultimate book of strategies. Every Fortune 500 manager in America rushed to buy that book and learn to psychologically devastate the enemy. This is another type of book covering business practices and personal relationships, and the balance of power.
Women are classically not taught strategies and often fail to have the advantage in business or in their personal life. Being without personal power often puts us at the mercy of those that not only have the power, they are often ruthless. Buy this book. Take it to the bubble bath and open it to any chapter and learn how your bosses, loves, fathers and father figures out manipulate others with their ability to strategize.
It is a fascinating and scary book. You will be shocked. I AM NOT recommending that you become as mean as the book suggests. I am only offering those of you who desire to succeed in Corporate America, a way to learn to play with the big boys in some of the game options offered here. Pick a place that holds a comfort zone for you with your personal power. Go forward from the People Pleasers you are and learn to protect yourself and win. Go from where you are at zero power to about 50 m.p.h. Again, Do Not Get As Mean As the Book Suggests. But DO SOMETHING TO CHANGE YOUR LIFE. You won’t be sorry.
The Art of Seduction by Robert Greene
This is by the same author as the Power Book but offers several lavender pages in the middle that deals with all types of the personalities. Just scanning the center pages and realizing exactly who you are dealing with at work and at home is mind-blowing. The first few minutes I recognized my family members as the “Aging Baby” and the “Pampered Royal”.
The more I read the more disgusted I became with the ugly aspects of my personality that find their way out during stressful times. I flat-out quit doing many things after shame attacks over reading about my less than perfect personality mentioned in several other types of people.
The title suggests Love. This book takes you through all of the ways to seduce and manipulate others. It was a real wake-up for me to read revealing ways lovers or family or friends have successfully used mind games to attempt to control me. I have been blown away just to find certain types of personalities that live just for their sick power plays to hurt, control and use others.
I do not like the way Mr. Greene continues to call our potential “love” the victim and tells us how to always stay in control and power. I DO like the way it helps me understand how “NOT TO BE” the victim of any relationships. That is the ONLY REASON I am encouraging you to get this book. If you understand how others may seek to exploit your emotions, love or money, it is much less likely to continue to happen to you.
I want my clients to be intellectually “armed and dangerous” in the workplace so they will be victorious and not out-smarted by some calculating liar that will take credit for their work and use them or worse, ultimately destroy their opportunities. Certain types of people will “sell out” anyone or everyone, simply to win at all costs. I DO NOT WANT YOU TO BE ANYONE’S VICTIM.
Buy some books. Learn to be prepared when other employees, family or friends choose to wage war against you. Keeping the best spirit in the workplace is possible if you understand how to avoid the pitfalls and still do your job without being a casualty of Corporate America.
I want all of my clients to be self-empowered by their highest good and well being and live by their own inspirations of the Holy Spirit. Unfortunately not everyone does and for that reason I have recommended these books to you. Hoping and wishing people would quit using us is a good thing. Finding the strength to intellectually defend yourself against it requires some training. I hope some of these books will help you to get where you want to go, and help you avoid the land mines of the Corporate World.
