New Orleans French Quarters Garage With Power Feng Shui
On a recent visit to the French Quarters in New Orleans I parked beside a lavender garage door and thought what a great Wealth & Empowerment color of Power Feng Shui that would be to enter if I happened to live there. Much to my surprise the door opened just as I was walking by. I was stunned to see such a fantastic display of Feng Shui painted on the walls of the garage.
If your garage is your Main Entrance to your home it is always the best possible Feng Shui Energy if you can use some decorating skills to create a welcoming effect as you open the door and drive in. The Front Entry is always the Mouth of the Ch’i, the beginning of the Feng Shui experience. If you primarily begin your entrance to your home’s Sacred Space in the Garage, then the Mouth of the Ch’i moves to this location. The Front Entry then becomes the secondary entrance. This makes the garage entry the most important, and all Feng Shui should be set up from that point of entry, instead of the Front Doorway.
In this unique display of an incredible mural the regular single entry door has been concealed in the lovely arched doorway that has been painted to appear over twice as large as it really is. This doorway, inside the garage is located in the Far Left Corner of the Garage, which is the Wealth & Empowerment Area of the Garage. The location of this doorway increases those energies to Energize the Entry for your Sacred Space.
Adding to that, the sweeping Black curves are very bold, heightening the energies for Career, Self, and Destiny. The Gray curves are the color used for Compassion, Travel, Friendships, and Mentors. In the background behind the curves a garden scene invites you inside, complete with statuary and lush plants symbolizing new growth. This adds the element of Wood, bringing fresh growth to the family that lives here.
Lilac, a tone of purple wisteria is dripping to create Wealth and Empowerment for the home’s entry here.
A topiary with the Green (Family & Community) shrubbery rises toward Heaven with Red (Fame, Recognition & Future) flowers. Displays of real, silk or painted flowers all work the same magic to bring growth to any area where they are used.
A dramatic lion fountain with water flowing provides the Water Element for renewal of money and Spirit. Fountains, inside or outside the home, or in this case, simply a painting of a fountain adds the money energy thought to blast the home with more money. The Lion is considered a Power Animal Totem symbol and known in many tribes across the world to add protection.
The water flows into a pool of water lilies painted on both the wall and the concrete floor. Water lilies are one of the lucky Power Feng Shui flowers that draw money to you as well. Each of these painted images is planned to “Energize” lots of money into this home.
The brick art brings the Element of the Earth’s energy, bringing a sense of feeling “Grounded.” The rectangular shape implies Growth in the environment also, which also is the Wood Element here.
Other plants representing new growth are painted on the wall, but some extend onto the ceiling creating a wonderful spacious feeling. The Bird of Paradise plant beside the fountain makes a statement about the owner’s state of mind. After meeting her I discovered she is a rare, exotic breed of human being. I just loved her. She has what I call the three E’s of Personality: Energized, Effective, and Effervescent.
You can see the doorway reflecting into the hood of her brand new Mercedes. The parrot with all of the twinkle lights (not on in this photo), is a festive touch for the French Quarters location.
In every room the far back wall, especially in the Center of that wall, is the Fame, Future, & Recognition area for Power Feng Shui. Anything you place on that wall begins to come toward you or appear for you in real life. Obviously, this owner wants more of the same to come her way.
This is the absolute best garage I have ever seen since I began my Feng Shui journey in 1994. Talk about “lifting up” your energies as you come home! It is absolutely great in every single aspect.
The owner was coming out to leave as I walked by and I raved about what fabulous Feng Shui she had created. She laughed and said, “You should have been here last weekend when I was on the tour.”
As I pointed out all of the wonderful benefits she had created, she mellowed and said, “Just this once I will let you take a quick peek.” I was blown away as she showed me a view of the center lush garden as we entered and saw each of the four glass two story walls fashioned in a huge rectangle. Each room in the home could view the magnificent center placement garden through the glass. The glass walls were over 18” tall. Custom made. It was breathtaking. The 12,000 square foot home was unlike anything I had ever seen.
I was just shocked she would invite a stranger off the street inside for a quick look-see into her world. Certainly, it was a Power Feng Shui thrill for me.
Later I took a picture of a real estate sign that kept showing up in front of all of the most exotic locations. I decided to just for fun look in the French Quarters section on the Internet and to my surprise found her lovely home listed for $3,800,000.00. What a deal. There was the 1817 garden mansion in all its raging glory decorated to the hilt. I was really feeling blest by that time. It was one visit to New Orleans I will never forget.
If you wish to “raise the Ch’i (Cosmic Breath of God/The Life Force) energies to a much higher level hang some art you no long are using in the house and enjoy it with lifted spirits as you arrive home each day.
Painting the garage and hanging Christmas twinkle lights also lifts energy for Power Feng Shui blessings. Bring in a potted palm tree for a tropical look and feel if you enjoy the tropics. An artificial palm will do nicely. Either way, it will bring that tropical feel to the garage or any location.
There is no end to what Power Feng Shui excitement you can create for yourself if you just recycle art and objects you no longer use in your home. You could even rotate these seasonally if you wish. Anything you do to raise the Ch’i, that Lifeforce, Cosmic Breath of God as it blesses you with extra special blessings of Feng Shui.
And when you travel, don’t be afraid to speak to people and compliment their choices. They might just take you for a tour… I always encourage my clients to photograph all new concepts you come across in your daily travels or vacations. You never know when you might want to use those to create fresh new concepts to “vibrate & blast the Energies” for your optimum Power Feng Shui.
