Before I began my Power Feng Shui career in 1995, I owned my own Stained Glass studio for ten years from 1981 – 1991. It was the culmination of my love of design, color and creating beautiful and original art that led me there, plus a suggestion from my sister Diane that this would be the last art and craft adventure I would ever need. She was so right! I took my first classes in the studio that my husband and I ended up buying the very next spring.
I loved creating custom designs to match the wallpaper in client’s bathrooms or a transom above the door of their old restored Victorian home or even simply building a Stained Glass box for their Mother’s jewelry for her birthday.
Teaching was what I loved the most about it all. Each year I taught dozens of people the basics and encouraged them to “fire up” their creativity and build their confidence and abilities in this century’s old art form. I even challenged them to enter the State Fair of Texas Creative Arts competition held in Dallas each autumn just for fun. The second year we were in the Stained Glass business we went to the Fair to see all the work our clients had entered in the competition and find out what ribbons they had won.
I was astounded when I counted 16 entries that had been judged to win ribbons in the Adult Stained Glass competition, that I had personally taught how to make Stained Glass. I remember thinking that if I never taught another person I have had the thrill of seeing exquisite pieces of Stained Glass that I had shared the knowledge of how to design and build with confidence such a great piece of art that they had actually “won” their competition. I was beyond delighted.
In 1994 when I began my Power Feng Shui career I was very intrigued to find that by hanging Stained Glass in the windows of my client’s homes and businesses, it was like adding “Diamonds” sparkling with the Light of God shining through them.
It intensified the “Light Energy” of the Ch’i, also known as the Cosmic Breath of God, or the Life Force that flowed into the location, and brought excellent blessings of joy as well.
I encouraged clients that if they had an interest in Stained Glass that it would boost the Light Energy by a huge percentage for victory and success in their personal and professional lives, simply by hanging a piece or two in their homes.
Even if you create a theme like this one of mermaids and angels in the interior rooms of your home, if the art is free hanging and lit from electric lighting, it is still spectacular. I made these for a Florida friend that loved both angels and mermaids years ago for gifts on their birthday.
Contemporary Stained Glass provides an architectural look all its own and can be used in office settings as well. Adding bevels that allow the light to bounce off of the edge of the beveled edges will throw rainbow light across the room as the Sunlight moves across the sky, reflecting through those bevels. It creates moving energy of light in the setting where it is hung to enhance the windows, like diamonds.\\

Adding Holy spiritual energy, such as this Celtic style Holy Cross brings that blast of an aura of Holiness to the place where it is displayed. Although I did not make this panel it was on display in our hotel bar on a visit I made to the Bahamas. The Victorian mix added to the Holy energies created a fabulous setting in the bar and people were talking about other Holy Stained Glass they had seen in other locations across the world. Just this one panel had the ability to prompt them to thoughts of lovely Holy Spirit Stained Glass and share their thoughts with one another in a bar full of strangers. Many of them were sharing their Celtic/Irish backgrounds as well. You simply cannot imagine how the power of Stained Glass can transform people’s thoughts and memories as it sends waves of energy vibrating through the air, and allows them to open up and share with others.
