Victory Over Addiction Symbol Helps Alex Overcome A Cheese Cake Addiction
One of the 72 Names of God from the Zohar, The Hebrew Holy Scriptures, from the study Of Kabbalah, shared with Alex in a class by Rabbi Solomon of www.Kabbalah.com in 2001 in Dallas, Texas.
The 72 Names of God were given to Moses the 2nd time he went up on the mountain to receive another copy of the 10 Commandments. It is believed the finger of God Himself wrote both the Commandments & the 72 Names of God in stone for Moses to share with the Hebrew people.
He was given these names to call upon God, to make the miracles necessary for the future of God’s people. If you wish to have Victory Over Addiction, focus on this Hebrew symbol to achieve that distinct help in your life. The Kabbalahists believe that by scanning the 3 letters, by reading from right to left, as you see each letter that even though we do not know the Hebrew language, that as a creature of The Great God Jehovah, “The Creator” of our souls, that our soul not only understands, the very DNA of our soul is universal, and receives this healing from God.
Addiction in our lives is not only excess of alcohol, drugs, sex, food, cigarettes, or even an obsession of the love of a particular person, it is anything we find controls us, rather than we ourselves being in control. Addiction often leads to obsession, which can literally lead to the destruction of us being able to have a “normal” life that is healthy and happy for us.
Fortunately for me, I saw alcoholism in my family as a child and all of the pain it caused my family, and decided never to go that direction. I did however; find that I had become addicted to sugar as a comfort in the form of cookies, candy, ice cream, cakes or most of all, cheese cake. I realized last year that when I was going through stressful times, I would binge on cheese cake. I would go all day long, not eating and then have not just one, but sometimes two or three pieces of my addiction. I justified that I really wasn’t eating that much, and after all, what could it hurt?
I began to gain weight from all of the fat content in the cheese cake, as the fat goes directly to your fat cells, and never leaves your body. I would stress out and have a “tea party”, just like my grandmothers taught me when I was a child, and stop my day and go where the best cheese cake could be found. Soon, I realized I was 20 pounds heavier.
I prayed about what to do and was reminded by my Holy Spirit that I could use the Victory Over Addiction symbol in my prayers and I would be able to get my own personal victory over addiction. Years ago I had read that if a person goes without whatever substance is addictive to them for six weeks that they would be healed. After six weeks, the addicted person would have to “force feed” themselves the substance in order to begin the addiction again.
I decided to scan the three Hebrew letters of the Victory Over Addiction name of God for about ten minutes each day. I made myself not stop for a “tea party” for the first two weeks time and instead used that time to just scan the letters. In the third week I got weak and decided to just stop and have one slice of cheese cake. As I sat waiting for my “fix” to arrive, I thought how good it was going to taste and how much I loved my cheese cake.
When it arrived with my hot tea, I put my first bite into my mouth and began to chew it, something bizarre happened to me. The cheese cake that I had found so wonderful in the past suddenly tasted awful. I ate three more bites, each one tasting worse and worse. Finally, in simultaneous joy and disgust, I had to stop eating it. It was awful. I could not believe it.
Certainly when I prayed I sincerely did believe that God would heal me. I never doubted it. I just did not realize that scanning the Victory Over Addiction name of God would work so very quickly. I was just stunned, happy, thrilled, but stunned just the same.
Cheese cake is no longer something I care for or ever stop my day for any more. The Hebrew symbol had not only helped me, it had completely ended my addiction with a comfort food from the grandmother times of my life as a child. When I get stressed now, I laugh when I think I used to need a “tea party” to comfort myself with. It will never “get me” again, as in the past.
I encourage you to get real with yourself over whatever addiction rules your life, if you truly desire for it to end. Scan these letters and think of the person or substance that controls your life, as you do so. Just ten minutes each day, sitting quietly, even in the bath tub, will change your life in the most positive way possible as you use the power of God’s own name, to break whatever habits or personal attachments have been holding you back in your life. You will only be benefiting yourself, for the rest of your life.
